It's August and full on summer vacation mode! Many of us are traveling with families to see new sights or to visit family in traditional vacation spots. So much fun to be had!
One of the key items for traveling is to plan healthy food options so that time on the road and away from our home doesn't create too much havoc with our health.
Pro tips to stay healthy and not hangry for travel:
build a backpack pantry- stock your backpack or a family pack with healthy snack options and water bottles for easy and quick grab.
pack a cooler for the car- Long road trip? Forget searching for rest stops and vending machines. Make it easy and pack a cooler for a healthy roadside picnic instead.
look for a grocery store instead of a fast food store- many grocery stores have healthy, pre prepared meals and veggie snacks for grab and go and are much healthier, less expensive options.
Happy, Healthy Travels!
